Reformulation

Obtain, using an implemented calculation algorithm, recipes that produce a specific oxide composition.

Reformulation tool finds, by means of an implemented calculation algorithm, the recipe that produces a specified oxides composition at minimum cost or other selected value. Enter the desired oxides composition, select the raw materials and/or frits that you want to allow into the recipe. Set the conditions to the recipe. Finally, launch the calculation process.

In the common reformulation window workflow you:
Enter the desired oxides composition whether manually or transferring it from a formula of any type that’s currently opened in the application.
Select, from the current materials table, the raw materials or frits that will be allowed to make up the recipe.
Specify whether the recipe will contain frit and what percentage.
Set limits to the percentages that specified materials can take in the recipe. Also the sum of a set of materials or their relative proportion.
Launch the calculation process. Check the solution recipe.
Now you can make changes to the conditions given to the calculation, like removing unwanted materials or entering new materials percentage limits. Launch the calculation process again.
Once a satisfying solution recipe has been reached you can transfer it to a new materials formula file that will be opened in the application ready to be saved.

Formula page

In the Formula page you enter and modify reformulation calculation input data and view the receipt obtained after executing the algorithm. Once a satisfactory solution receipt has been found it can be automatically transferred to a formula file. Also stored as a checkset for the Automatic Reformulation tool.

Materials selection

In the Materials Selection page you select the materials that will be allowed in the reformulation. Starting from the current work materials table list, some filters -raw materials or frits, frit type- can be applied in order to get a pre-selection list. From this list you can specify the materials that will make up the final selection.

Solution Recipe Analysis

Solution Formula Analysis page shows the last solution recipe found and its analysis in the oxides that took part in the reformulation. It also shows the contribution in oxides of each material.
